Regulates the electricity supply industry by granting licenses for generation, transmission, distribution, sale, import, and export of electricity in Uganda.

Determines and approves electricity tariffs that are fair, transparent, and cost-reflective — ensuring both investor returns and consumer affordability.

Compliance Monitoring And Enforcement

Oversees licensee operations to ensure adherence to approved standards, technical codes, environmental requirements, and safety regulations.

Consumer Protection And Public Awareness

Protects electricity consumers by handling complaints, enforcing service quality, and promoting awareness about energy efficiency and consumer rights.
